Most of the images shown on this site have been obtained from vendor surveillance or security cameras at the various scenes where a crime has been alleged to have occurred. Some images may have been obtained from other sources. 

These images are provided for public viewing by Crime Stoppers, and are only meant to assist in the identification of the possible suspects shown.  

The subjects shown in these images may or may not have been involved in the offence described. They are suspects for identification only and further investigation is required before they can be deemed responsible for any offences listed.

North Division

FRAUD

On 09DEC21 the pictured suspect attempted to open chequing accounts at 3 separate branches of the same bank-2 in Downtown and 1 in North Division. He produced forged Canadian citizenship cards and SIN cards in different names. In each incidence he was attempting to cash differrent company cheques.

Investigators are releasing the surveillance picture in the hopes a member of the public will recognize the suspect.  Anyone that has any information about the identity of the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Downtown Division

Downtown Assault at Bus Terminal

On 2010FEB02 at approximately 1720 hrs the pictured suspect was banned from a mall in the area of 106 St/Kingsay Avenue. As a result, he was very aggressive and beligerent with mall security officers. He left the mall and went to a nearby bus terminal where he approached a female waiting patiently for her bus. The suspect male aggressively advanced towards the female, invading her personal space. He swore at the female and thrust his chest into her pushing her backwards off the platform and knocking her cell phone out of her hand onto the ground.

A by-law officer observed what had occurred and approached the suspect. The suspect repeated his behaviour with the by-law officer, aggressively invading her space, thrusting his chest into her and striking her hand knocking her cell phone onto the ground. He then fled on foot east towards a nearby fast food restaurant and out of the area.

Theft Of Meter Heads

For the last two years, there have been ongoing thefts of parking meter heads throughout the downtown core and inner city. Some sort of heavy object such as a sledgehammer is being used to shear the tops off of the poles and the entire top of the unit is being stolen along with its contents.

South East Division

Theft Of Ring

On 2010FEB15 at approximately 1800 hrs, a lone male entered a jewellry store in a mall in the area of 83 St/82 Ave. He was assisted by staff as he requested to look at some jewellry.  A ring was provided to him to look at but instead he took it and fled out of the store and out of the mall. He got into the passenger side of a dark blue SUV being driven by a female and they fled the scene. The SUV had a commercial licence plate with the first two numbers being 84.

The ring stolen was 1.50 ct 14kt yellow gold ring valued at $2700.00.

South West Division

Discharge of Firearm 29 Avenue and Calgary Trail

On FEB 27, 2010 at 0120hrs an altercation occurred inside a nightclub in the area of 29 Ave/Calgary Trail. The subjects involved were escorted outside by security staff.  As a result, one of the subjects fired a gun at the front of the club in the direction of security staff shattering the glass in the front door. Luckily no patrons or staff were seriously injured-one person received minor injuries from the flying glass.

The shooter is described as a 25 year old caucasian male, 5'11", 180 lbs with a "square face", blonde or light brown short hair, wearing a grey zippered hoody or some sort of shirt with a white shirt underneath. He was in the company of an East Indian male approximately 25 years of age, "skinny", with a 3-6" high mohawk.

The shooter left in a vehicle, possibly a gold or silver nissan sentra, or very light colored teal smaller older car.

Information is that the altercation within the club may be Gang related, or simply two rival groups who were fighting when security staff intervened and removed one of the parties.

Fraud

Between November of 2009 and January 2010, the 3 pictured suspects were involved in fraudulent activity throughout Edmonton.  They were able to obtain identification, open bank accounts, deposit cheques and with draw cashe/use debit cards for purchases, all the while using fraudulent means.

West Division

Theft of a Pin Pad 158 Street and 87 Avenue

On 2010JAN28, the two pictured suspects are believed responsible for the theft of a debit pinpad from a fastfood restaurant in the area of 158 St/87 Ave.

Limited descriptions on suspects, however it would appear both were caucasian males, one described as 5'8" wearing a black toque with design on it, a black jacket with green design on the front of it the other as 5'4" wearing a white toque, a black leather jacket with a brown fur collar and cuffs.

Robbery

Armed Robbery 182 Street and 89 Avenue

At 0645 hrs on the 3rd of January 2010, two male suspects entered a convenience store in the area of 182 St/89 Ave and robbed the clerk and then fled.

Suspect #1 is described as being a white male, 18-20 years of age, 5'8"-5'9", thin build, short brown hair, yellow windbreaker, and white track pants

Suspect #2 is described as being a white male, 18-25 years of age, 5'6"-5'8", thin build, light brown hair.
