Assist to Identify Males of Interest in the Homicide 99 Street and 82 Avenue

Background: At approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2010 two men were walking home when they were approached by a group of four to six white males in the area of 99 Street and 82 Avenue. The two men were surrounded by the group of males, who demanded money and then allegedly assaulted them. The disturbance moved to the area east of 99 Street on 80 Avenue, in front of a house, where it appears three of the suspects continued to confront the two men. Friends of the two men being assaulted came to assist at that time. One of these friends was then stabbed and died as a result of his injuries.Two men have been arrested in connection with last Sunday’s stabbing death of 37-year-old Apichat Sudsaneh of Thailand. EPS Homicide Section says, “We are hoping the family and friends of Sudsaneh can take some comfort from the arrests. They need to know that Sudsanehs’ death has impacted a lot of people.” 21-year-old Michael John Stewart of no fixed address has been charged with one count of second degree murder, one count of robbery, one count of possession of a weapon and three breaches from Newfoundland. 18 year-old Kyle Anthony Brooks of no fixed address has been charged with one count of robbery and one count of assault. Police are still looking for five other people who are persons of interest in connection with this incident. Credit Card Fraud Over

On December 11, 2009 at 05:55 AM, an unknown suspect stole a limousine from the area of 44 Avenue and Gateway Blvd. The vehicle was later recovered, but missing from within was the owner's wallet which contained his various personal identification and credit cards.
On February 27, 2010 at 04:40 PM, a suspect attended an electronics store, and after signing up for a fraudulent credit card with the store, maxed the card out at $2500.00.
On February 28, 2010 at 03:03 PM, a suspect attended a different electronics store located at Northgate Mall, and utilized the identifcation to fraudulently obtain the stores' credit card. (Purchased $1,986.55 worth of store items with the card).
The suspect also frauduntely obtained a Visa credit card, with a credit limit of $7000.00.

Rural Break and Enters

Since August of 2009, there have been in excess of 219 break and enters to rural homes in communities througout central and western Alberta and into Saskatchewan, that are believed to be related. In most cases, entry was gained through unlocked doors, windows or attached garages. Items such as purses/wallets, flat screen T.V’s, lap-tops, Ipods, cameras, cigarettes, food, meat and liquor have been taken. The thefts occurred during the early morning hours when residents were sleeping.
Communities including Killam/Forestburg, Camrose,Bashaw, Coronation, Consort, Three Hills, Vermillion, Evansburg, Fox Creek, Swan Hills,Stony Plain, Whitecourt, Barrhead, Two Hills, Vulcan, Vegreville, Hanna, Fort Macleod, Smoky Lake, Redwater, Westlock, Thorsby as well as Kerrobert and Maidstone Saskatchewan have been affected.

Break, Enter and Theft 104 Street and 98 Avenue

On 2010MAR16 at approximately 1300 hrs, 3 male suspects entered the front lobby door to an apartment building in the area of 104 St/98 Ave. Once inside the building, the three males forcefully broke into an apartment suite and removed several items from inside including electronic items, a bike, video game system, jewellry and clothing leaving out a back door exit and most likely to a vehicle(given the large amount of items taken.)

Mischief and Theft to Vending Machines Airport Road and KingswayAve

On 2010FEB12 at approximately 1830 hrs, two males entered a hotel lobby in the area of Airport Road/Kingsway Ave. They went directly to the elevator and up to the third floor. While suspect #2 acted as a lookout, suspect #1 used an object, possibly a crowbar, to break into a vending machine. A coin box was removed and emptied and both suspects left the hotel.
Suspect #1-caucasian male, short brown hair, wearing light blue jeans, white sneakers, and a brown three quarter length leather jacket.
Suspect #2-caucasian male, black hair that is shaved very short with tattoos on the left side of his neck, shorter in height than su#1, wearing a black hoodie with a white logo on it, black leather jacket, black hat, white sneakers and dark blue jeans.

Armed Robbery Pharmacy 42 Street and 23 Avenue

In the late evening hours of the 16th of June 2010 the noted suspect entered a pharmacy located at 42 Street and 23 Avenue. This suspect loitered around the pharmacy department for approximately 1 hour until the suspect approached the pharmacy counter opened her purse and produced a 8-10 inch knife. At this time the suspect demanded that the pharmacist put the drugs into the suspects purse, leaving in a southbound direction with four bottles of prescription drugs in her possession. This same suspect is also responsible for a failed attempt to rob a Pharmacy located at 23 Avenue and 24 Street earlier this day.

South East Division Industrial Break And Enters

Southeast Division has seen a significant increase in B&Es over the past three weeks. The suspects MO is to smash a window or door to an industrial area shop, enter the building, go directly to the cash register & steal cash. The B&Es are occurring mostly on weekends and follow two distinct patterns:
1. They are hitting mostly shops near railway lines, or
2. They are hitting strip malls & will break in to 2 or 3 shops in a row. Suspects may be on foot or on bicycle.

South West Division
Assault With Weapon 109 Street and 82 Avenue

On 10JUL28 at approximately 0230 hrs two males were chased down by three males to a parking lot in the area of 109 St/82 Ave. One of the suspect males had a pipe and struck the victim in the face with the pipe, knocking him unconscious to the ground. The victim suffered a head injury and a fractured jaw as a result of the attack.
Suspects are described as 3 white males, dark clothing, one of them about 5'8" and the other two 5'11-6' tall. The male with the pipe is the shorter one, very short hair or shaved head.
The same group of suspects is believed responsible for another attack on 10JUL28 at approximately 0315 hrs. A black vehicle pulled up to a group of people at 104st and Whyte ave. After a short exchange of words, two males exited the vehicle, one with a silver pipe-like object, and struck two of the group of people in the face with it. They then got back in the vehicle and drove away. One male was admitted to the hospital with a head injury and the other received medical attention at the scene.

Theft of Stamps

On 2010APR29 at approximately 1640 hrs, a male suspect entered a convenience store in Terwilleger Towne and approached the post office counter. The male requested 2 rolls of stamps from the employee and produced a bank card to pay for them. When the card was declined, the male put the rolls of stamps in his pocket and ran out of the store claiming he was going to get another form of payment. He did not return and left in a white pickup.

On 2010JAN24, four fraudulent transactions occurred at an ATM in a gas station in the area of 164 St/87 Ave. It is suspected that the data from the bank card had previously been fraudulently compromised(skimmed) at another u/k location in order to make a new card which was used at this location.
The above described suspect was observed doing the transactions at the ATM and left in a vehicle possible a gold Ford Focus 4 door.

Sometime overnight between April 16-17, 2010 numerous incidents of vandalism occured in the Dover court community in the area of 122 Avenue and 141 Street. Suspect(s) spray painted "WC" and the "Star of David" on garage doors, vehicles and fences. Similar occurrences occurred in the West Meadowlark Park community the previous week.

Sexual Assault on ETS Bus 87 Avenue and 175 Street

On June 29, 2010 a female boarded an ETS bus #14 at West Edmonton Transit Terminal (87 Avenue / 175 Street). She sat on the main level of the bus and a man sat very close to her with his arms crossed and his hand touching her waist. The woman attempted to move closer to the window to give the male more room, but he moved closer to her. The male moved to closer to the window again and began to touch the victim. The victim got up and out of the seat and stood by the driver until her stop.
The suspect is described as being approximately 50 years-old, average height, medium/darker brown complexion, short black hair (several inches in length, unkempt/not styled), full upper lip, black moustache and broad shoulders. He was wearing a dark brown suit jacket, light shirt and dress pants.

Theft Of Liquor 118Street and St. Albert Trail

On 2010MAR30 at approximately 2314 hrs, two males entered a liquor store in the area of 118 St/St. Albert Trail. They both walk through the aisles and each selected a bottle of liquor. Both approached the sales counter together and suspect #1 suddenly ran out of the store with the liquor bottle-failing to pay for it. The store clerk ran after him and suspect #2 also ram out of the liquor store carrying his bottle without paying for it..
Suspect #1 - Caucasian male, early 20's, 5'7"-5'9", 160 lbs, thin build, short blonde hair, fair skin color, wearing black/white jacket, black jeans, white t-shirt and white runners with black laces.
Suspect #2 - Caucasian male, early 20's, 5'7" - 5'9", medium build, medium length brown hair with blond coloring, bushy out of side of a red baseball cap worn backwards, moustache, wearing black jacket, black jeans and black sneakers.

Shoplifting at Video Store 128 Street and 140 Avenue

The first SU is a white female, 30's, approx 5'8, 200lbs, with brown hair.
The second SU is a a white female, 30's, approx. 5'7", 180 lbs.
The third SU is a thin Black male, 30's, Approx. 6'0", with crooked teeth and was very friendly with the staff. The male entered into the store after the females and joked about stealing items. The male began to distract the two WI's by asking multiple questions.
Once all three SU's are inside the store, the two females walked around the rear of the store while the male kept the employees busy in the front. The trio spend a lengthy amount of time in the store and occasionally, one of the females would bring movies to the male to further stall the workers.
The male attends the till area and processes the return. Once the male was finished at the till, the two females join up with him at the entrance and they all leave the store together, setting the alarm off again.
Once the SU's left the store, the two WI's notice that multiple movies ( 30 in total ) had been stolen from the store.

Robbery Adult Entertainment Business 81 Avenue and 99 Street

On 2010JUL08 at approximately 1215 hrs, a suspect male entered an adult entertainment business in the area of 82 Ave/99 St. He locked the door behind him and approached the counter where he demanded money from the employees. An employee turned over a quantity of cash to the suspect who took it, went to the front door unlocked it and possibly left the area in a taxi cab.
The suspect male is described as a caucasian male, approximately 20 – 30 years old, 5’8” – 5’10” tall, 230 lbs, dark brown eyes, a little stubble, some acne at the bottom of his face, wearing a plain grey hoodie, black baggy sweat pants, and black runners. The suspect entered the store with his hood up however pulled it off when he left the store. There were conflicting reports of the suspect having a bald head while another witness said he had messy middle length brown hair.
