The Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who was last seen at her north side residence on Wednesday, July 14th.
47-year-old Melanie Jerome was last seen the evening of July 14th at her home. She was reported missing to police on Friday, July 16.
While police say Jerome has no medical issues, they do have concerns about her welfare as this is out of character for her to leave for this length of time. Jerome’s vehicle was recovered on Monday from the south side and the EPS Forensic Identification Services Section has been examining it for possible clues.
Since Jerome was reported missing to authorities on Friday, July 16, Missing Persons Unit members have been using a variety of investigative means to get more information on her possible whereabouts. Among the ways, interviewing friends and family who would know best her habits and routines.
She is described as 5'4", 140 pounds, shoulder length straight auburn or brown hair with a blonde streak in it, and has green eyes. She wears glasses and or contacts. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, black and white Puma runners, a black jacket and a blue shirt.
